The Quest of the Ringbearer Supplement is out for pre-order next week ... been looking forward to that.

Nice to see Balin's tomb scenery re-released too. I never got that plastic box when it was out.

So, who would your fantasy fellowship be?

(And would things have turned out much worse if Faramir had joined rather than Boromir, because then the fellowship might never have broken up, and a group of nine would have been spotted much easier sneaking into Mordor than just Sam, Frodo and Gollum?)

Will be interested in seeing what is in the quest book. Nice to see the Moria terrain set sold separately, it was only available before in the Mines of Moria boxset and parts have popped up on Ebay but never the whole set.

Great stuff, I am looking forward to this.

My fantasy fellowship: Farmer Maggot and Hounds, no one else required. :-D

Thanks for the article link. [i]Quest[/] sure seems like it's going to be a home run.

Most of the contents seem more or less what you'd expect given the title, but the article implies that we're going to get a Barliman Butterbur and a Harry Goatleaf at some point. That wasn't on my radar at all. Can't wait to see 'em!

Bree characters have been on my wishlist since FOTR was released, brilliant news.

Anyone opposed to me sharing an image of Barliman Butterbur? Not sure if it'll break some rules or not.

Thanks for the news! I did a quick search and found an official picture of Barliman Butterbur on the Warhammer TV facebook page:

He looks great doesn't he! Not sure why some are complaining saying it's a war game. For me the collectors side is as important as the gaming side. Him and Harry wil be great for scenarios.

Yes, it's a nice model. Might even be nice if they had a pack of three random Bree villagers in the future. There aren't as many nice models of "normal" people available in most ranges, but it adds to the collection for modellers/painters and you can always use them in special scenarios, like having hobbits hiding in a crowd of people. I guess the Laketown villagers make a fair stand-in though.

Edit: And here's a picture of Harry Goatleaf too:

Is that ringwraith on the rising horse a conversion? Can't remember that ever coming out, but looks nice.

Totally agree my friend. I've always loved the whole Bree section. Just a village where travellers congregate and the locals have no idea of the dangers lurking outside its gates.

Thanks for the image of Harry too!!!

The Ringwraith on the rising horse is the Witch-King mounted. It's fairly hard to get but pops up on ebay occasionally. Managed to get one a couple of months back to complete my 9 'generic' black riders. He stands out too with a heavier cloak than the others, and obviously the fact his horse is reared up xD

I've got three of the normal ringwraiths on horses, but that witch-king one would be nice. Maybe they'll do a made-to-order release to fit in with the Quest of the Ringbearer.

There are probably a few off-sale miniatures that would fit with the scenarios in this book, including the barrow-wights and the dead marsh spectres. (Would also be great if they could do a separate release for the four foot nazgul who weren't in the original Weathertop box set).

Barliman, Harry Goatleaf and Bill the Pony available for pre-order from Forgeworld now: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Pers ... -Bree-2020

I've just discovered that Bill Ferny was the original (unkind) owner of Bill the Pony before Sam rescued him. I think the next errata should give Bill a +1 to wound against Bill Ferny!

Anyone got any interesting ideas for army list tricks? Barliman and Bill running around with Aragorn King Elessar in a Minas Tirith list to keep his wounds up?
