Thanks for the link Mac.

In most ways, it looks brilliant, but there were a few things that annoyed me. Goblins riding giant spiders and scorpions, the watcher just appearing in the snow somewhere, and in my opinion, the dwarves look really weird and a bit stupid, EA would have done better to use GW's plans for the dwarves ;)

Good points! I agree with most of them.

A Watcher emerging anywhere doesn't sound right.
Lets hope they have some good sense.

I look forward to try the game though.

New art on TP.

Looks cool.

You see the Dark Lord Sauron fight Gandalf.

Who will win?

Thats the only thing i dont like about the EA LOTR games. They drift way off what Tolkien describes. Obviously, its ok to make dwarves etc as we know they existed and almost definately had their own wars at the time of the war of the ring, but goblins riding spiders, Gandalf fighting Sauron, thats what i hate, the stupid things they put in sometimes.

Its only free play though.

You really can't stop it.

Goblins needed calvary different than wargs so thy gave them spiders.

And new pics of some elven warships attacking an isengard fort.

OK, firstly, I would like to clear up any doubt about the new armies. They are going to include: Dwarves, Goblins (YAY) and Elves. I'm not too sure about Swan Knight of Dol Amroth.

Also, the gmae is going to be a mix between an expansion and another game. I think it is going to be a bit like the Age of Empires series, you know, how they keep building on each other? (AoE III, WOOHOO!)

I, too, Can't wait to get it. $100 though :?

THE GAME ROCKS!!!! i like the way the War of the ring mode has been done ... awesome gameplay and the idea of u being able to create ur own hero is awesome. ... ELVES ROCK lol

O by the way Telcontar .... its "you draw far too much attention to yourself Mr.Underhill " .... not 'baggins' because frodo used Mr.Underhill to hide his real identity because of what gandalf told him and i quote "That name is not safe outside the shire".

LMAO Kennerz.... LOTR "g33k" ;)

Yes the game is excellent, lots of skill involved and its always tense at the beginning of the game when you play online, to see whos doing what in the game.

If anyone plays it online, im called WrafeOfTheWest and i might be forming a clan soon....

whos up for it ?

No, it's Mr. Baggins. I brook no argument.

Anyway, now I've got the annoying part of the thing out the way, How Good is that game???

Afraid I'm not allowed to play it online.

I agree with KennerzOfGondor: ELVES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

Am nearly finished the Good Campaign. This campaign is actually a good one, because it challenges you in the later levels, even on easy.

I'm not too sure about war of the ring mode though... not too good once you've played Rome - Total War.

Anyway, LOVE THE GAME!!!

Oh yeh!

The armies are well thought out and the ability to create your own hero is pretty cool.
