has anybody played the lord of the rings risk? I own it and have played it. It is so much shorter than the other Risk games but of course it is still fun. What is your opinion on it?

I have it... but sister never wants to play, and thus we never play it.

Although when I first got it we did play a few times and enjoyed it

We would always fight over the whole "Wold"...

I have bought it a long time ago I played once or twice but I don't think I new how to play properly. If the rules were more user friendly(ie I could understand them ) then I would play it regularly.

I have the old two towers version and seldomly play it. It is fun but the rules seem a bit odd. I play with my dad and we at least enjoy ourselves.

Well met LOM I didn't know that there was a TT version. See I am not the only one that thinks the rules are odd and time consuming. Sorry for late post I come in now and again. Thanks for your input. For the Shire!

I have a copy of it and we do play now and again, unfortunately things like the playstation get in the way these days.

@Kalamir, it is like normal risk but based in the Middle Earth Realm. It does have one feature which differs from standard Risk in that each turn the Ring moves across the board, with this it gives you a time limit for as soon as it leaves the board the game is over.

Dark Lord Kalamir in answer to your request. The LOtr Risk is like the normal risk except with Middle Earth as the battlefield and LOTR characters as the plastic men. It involves cards that are turned up on each opponents turn, and what the card tells the player to do is carried out until the One Ring which is moved across the Middle Earth map(the board) is moved out of play and whoever has the most points or whatever, is declared the winner. Well that is what I remember. By your leave Sire.......

I have the game also and have always been a big Risk Game Fan, so naturaly when I saw a LOTR version I was very excited. I myself love the LOTR version but I find nowadays you cant get anyone to play a game unless there is a controller hanging from it or a mouse and keyboard which is a shame to me. Great fun can be had by all who sit around a table and fire up a board game, expecially if its LOTR Risk!!!

Thanks: Meridian
