I;m glad there's another chap here who enjoys painting the SKoDA, i think they're so much fun to paint. Beautiful article, and good painting you have there. Congrats.

I'm out,

thanks for the kind comments :)

i had a 'pimp my SKODA' session. i massed converted one and it looks a lot better, though i still do like the originals  although they do look like a 5 minute sculpt job, they do look good on the table.

thanks

I never liked SKoDA. Too Warhammery, like Bretonia.
I really like the colourscheme. Nice detail, I like the basing. The only thing you have to watch out with is the whites, it looks "dirty" fast, like at the corner of the cape.

Keep up the good work!

A well illustrated and thoughful guide - well done.

But I HATE the GW SKoDA minis - I was looking forward to something like a cross between El Cid and The Black Prince, and they offer the Swan Knights with traffic cones and A380 wings for helmets... it's like hearing Christmas has been cancelled by some Scrooge-like skinflint.

So, all due respect for trying, but the minis are not for me. The sooner GW wiseup and redo them with more noble, deadly versions, the more likely I am to buy some. For those of you who are not so vehemently opposed to the GW versions, this article is a very good guide.

Nice guide, Glenn. Nice pictures, clear text and a good final result.

I'm also one of those who really doesnt like these SKoDA (aka Cone Heads) - as you remember I traded all the ones I had with you. :P

BUT, even if its not my cup of tea, lots of people seem to like them and you certainly did a great job on this one.

Great job mate! ;)

I'm afraid your article feedback has become a poll as to whether or not you like these models.

So, to not go against the grain, I will state first that I don't like them at all (although I did buy some). However, I do like your article, well done! Moreover, I like that you like them. That is, it's always nice to be reminded that we are individuals, with our own ideas, likes and dislikes. This allows me to enjoy the entire hobby, even things I don't like, through the eyes of others. I look forward to more articles from you. :)
