Okay, I've got a quick update now. Over the past few weeks I've been doing some cleaning and organizing, and have got my work area sorta clean, and I am going to try to work through all my unpainted mini's and finish them before I start on any other project. I don't have an "Official" list of the order on how I'm going to paint them yet, but it will probably be something like this:
1. Finish Knights of Dol Amroth.
2. Add the final touches to the dwarves and finish any unpainted dwarf.
3. Finish my goblins.
4. Repaint my Citadel guards with bows.
5. Finish my Morannon orcs.
6. Repaint or finish the Fellowship.
7. Get started on my Easterling army.
So that's the basic list of how it's going to go. I've probably forgotten a couple, but I'm sure I can find a place to squeeze them in. I will, however, be continuing on my ent as well, and I hope to have that finished in the next few months. I will probably be doing the Morannon orcs and goblins with community WIP, and everything else will be posted here. I also may be able to wright a few articles out of all this too.
So to start things off, here are some pics of my knights of Dol Amroth.
I don't know if you can see in the pic, but there are several differences among them that can be seen. The first is that I decided to get rid of all the Champions designs, as I think it was a bit over the top, and really wasn't done very well at all. I do still plan on leaving all the designs on the horse though.
The second difference is the armor. The two regular warriors were painted slightly different than the previous four. Instead of using my regular silver, I decided to try a different paint from the Reaper Master Series that I've had for a few years now. And it worked very well imo. Here are some more pics of one of the riders in the new scheme.
As you can see, it turned out much smoother, and just a ton better. You can probably also see I decided to add a bit of gold to the chainmail, and did the gloves and boots in a different color too. The reason for this is because I thought they looked kinda boring in just blue, white, silver, and black, so I decided to add a bit more color to them. I think they look a ton better now.
Hope you guys like them!
